The esteemed Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is a renowned international non-profit organization, established in 1833 in Paris by Frederic Ozanam. Over 190 years, it has evolved into a prominent global humanitarian entity, impacting the lives of millions of underprivileged individuals in numerous uplifting ways.
Guided by the noble virtues of Charity, Empathy, Humility, Justice, and Spirituality, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) instills in its members a profound ethos to embody these core values by extending a helping hand to the less fortunate in our society, transcending barriers of religion, caste, creed, class, or gender. Established in India in 1863, SSVP operates from its esteemed headquarters in Mumbai and an international headquarter in Paris, as of today SSVP serve in 157 Countries.

OUR OPERATING METHODOLOGY
SSVP operates in India through a well-defined hierarchy, including National, Central/Regional, and Area Councils, all of which encompass Local Conferences. Our dedicated 80,000 + volunteers in India fulfill key roles throughout the organization.

As SSVP’s representative in the south, we proudly serve as SSVP – Mandya. Established in November 2016, SSVP – Mandya is duly registered under the Karnataka Societies Act 1960. Presently, our ranks boast approximately 400 volunteers spread across sub-regional Conferences. At the grassroots level, these Conferences diligently identify deserving beneficiaries within their respective areas and provide ongoing assistance to those in need.

OUR FUNDRAISING STRATEGY
SSVP’s financial sustenance primarily relies on the generous contributions received from the families of our members’ friends, neighbors, and relatives. These compassionate individuals uphold the long-standing tradition of dedicating a portion of their family income to support charitable initiatives. Furthermore, our cause attracts support from like-minded individuals beyond the immediate circles of friends and relatives, bolstering our regular assistance base.
It is worth noting that SSVP maintains its financial autonomy and does not receive any foreign financial assistance.
In line with our commitment to amplifying our impact, we are now embarking on a new endeavor by extending support to corporate organizations in fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations. Through this expansion, we aim to facilitate effective, transparent, and time-bound execution of CSR initiatives, fostering a profound and lasting positive impact on society.
